Performance
The science behind
XO-Cargo™.

Two independent randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human cosmetic studies. Conducted by GBA Polska — an accredited independent cosmetic testing laboratory. Measured by validated instrumentation. The data behind every XO-Cargo™ claim is presented in full on this page.
Clinical Studies
The exosome is the active.
Results attributable entirely to the platform.
Study Design
- Conductor GBA Polska — an accredited independent cosmetic testing laboratory.
- Design Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled (RDBPC). The gold standard for cosmetic clinical evidence. Subjects, investigators and evaluators were all blinded to treatment allocation.
- Subjects 20 female subjects, ages 36–74, Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV. Not selected for a particular skin concern — the study was designed to demonstrate broad-spectrum performance across diverse skin types and ages.
- Duration 28 days. Measurements taken at Day 0 (baseline), Day 14 (interim) and Day 28 (endpoint).
- Control Subjects applied either XO-Cargo™ ME in a base serum or the identical base serum without exosomes. All other variables were held constant.
- Instruments Cutometer® (elasticity) · Antera 3D® (wrinkle volume)

Results — Day 28
Results below show improvement from baseline and net improvement versus base serum control. The versus base serum figure isolates the contribution of XO-Cargo™ ME from any effect of the base formulation.
What the results show
Both the improvement in the appearance of skin elasticity and wrinkles show statistically significant outcomes. The base serum control arm showed no significant improvement in either parameter over the same period.
Consumer Perception — Day 28
In addition to instrumental measurements, subjects completed a consumer perception questionnaire at Day 28.
100%
Perceived improvement in the appearance of skin elasticity
100%
Perceived improvement in the appearance of skin firmness
100%
Perceived improvement in the appearance of skin moisture and hydration
90%
Perceived improvement in the appearance of skin tone evenness
80%
Perceived reduction in the appearance of wrinkles
80%
Rated XO-Cargo™ ME superior to their previous skincare
Wrinkle Volume Imaging — Antera 3D
Antera 3D optical imaging maps wrinkle volume across the skin surface. Red and yellow areas indicate depth of wrinkle — the reduction between T0 (baseline) and T2 (Day 28) represents measurable improvement.

More than 4× more effective at improving appearance of skin elasticity than the closest benchmark active at Day 14.
Study Design
- Conductor GBA Polska — an accredited independent cosmetic testing laboratory.
- Design Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled (RDBPC). Four treatment arms run simultaneously under identical controlled conditions, allowing direct head-to-head comparison.
- Subjects 20 female subjects, ages 35–65, Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV.
- Duration 28 days. Key measurements at Day 0 (baseline), Day 14 and Day 28.
- Instruments Cutometer® (elasticity)
The Four Study Arms
Four parallel treatment groups under identical conditions — XO-Cargo™ AA, XO-Cargo™ ME, vehicle control, and benchmark active. This design allows simultaneous comparison of XO-Cargo™ AA against both a placebo and an established benchmark, in the same subjects, at the same timepoints.

Results — Day 28
What the results show
XO-Cargo™ AA delivered a +42% improvement in the appearance of skin elasticity at Day 14 — statistically significant versus base serum, representing a +24% improvement attributable entirely to the loaded exosome platform.
Wrinkle Volume Imaging — Antera 3D

The Loading Proof
A globally trusted peptide. Delivered by exosome. At a fraction of its standard dose.
The four-arm study design included a fourth treatment group: Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 — one of the most clinically established peptides combinations in cosmetic formulation — precision-loaded into an XO-Cargo milk exosome at 0.01% w/w inclusion. The standard inclusion rate for this ingredient is 1–3%. At a 100 to 300 times lower dose, results were statistically significant for the improvement in the appearance of skin elasticity at Day 28.
Zero Irritation — HRIPT Validated
The most rigorous irritation test in cosmetic science. Score: 0.0
What is HRIPT?
The Human Repeat Insult Patch Test (HRIPT) is the cosmetic industry’s gold standard for irritation and sensitization testing. It identifies both primary irritation (immediate skin reaction) and sensitization (an acquired allergic response that could worsen with repeated exposure). The test involves repeated application under occlusion — conditions significantly more demanding than normal cosmetic use. Subjects are assessed by a qualified dermatologist.
The Result
Both XO-Cargo™ ME and XO-Cargo™ AA achieved a score of 0.0 HRIPT across all subjects in their respective studies. No irritation. No sensitization. Dermatologist verified.
- ✓ 0.0 HRIPT across all subjects
- ✓ Both XO-Cargo™ ME and XO-Cargo™ AA
- ✓ Dermatologist verified
- ✓ Non-irritating
- ✓ Non-sensitizing
This result is particularly significant for XO-Cargo™ AA. Precision-loaded actives at clinical concentrations would typically carry inherent irritation risk. The 0.0 HRIPT result confirms that encapsulation within the exosome removes the potential for sensitivity – the active never contacts the skin surface as a free molecule.
